MarkPoint uses a privacy-first approach across Canada, the United States, and the European Union. Strictly necessary storage may support a feature you requested, authentication, security, or privacy choices. Optional storage is disabled until you give a specific opt-in consent.
Optional storage will be presented with clear choices to accept, reject, or manage categories. Rejecting optional storage will not block features that do not require it. You can change or withdraw an optional choice at any time from the site's privacy settings control.
MarkPoint does not quietly use cookies to track previous searches. If we offer saved search history, it will be an explicit opt-in feature with clear storage location, retention, viewing, export, deletion, and disable controls. Search logs used for troubleshooting are separate from cookies and follow the Privacy Statement's retention and access controls.
A channel can place a MarkPoint search box on its own website. That box sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and sends no identifier with a search or a click. The only request it makes to anyone other than MarkPoint is for video thumbnails from YouTube, which your browser would fetch from YouTube anyway and which the channel can switch off. Searches and clicks are recorded only as aggregate counts for that channel, in the same way MarkPoint records searches by visitors who are not signed in. Because no information about you is captured, the box shows no consent banner.
If MarkPoint introduces advertising, contextual sponsorships without tracking will be preferred. With separate opt-in consent, MarkPoint may consider broad, non-sensitive category interests such as music, sports, gaming, technology, education, cooking, travel, or DIY. Only coarse category identifiers would be stored, and they would be visible, removable, and automatically expired.
Any future first-party promotion or retargeting must be short-lived, clearly labeled, easy to disable, and limited to MarkPoint. We will not target from raw searches, transcript text, detailed viewing history, marks, religion, health, politics, sexuality, precise location, financial hardship, children's interests, or other sensitive data. Sensitive topics may still receive unrelated contextual advertising. We will not sell audiences or use third-party pixels, fingerprinting, or cross-site retargeting.
We use prior opt-in for non-essential storage, granular choices, and equally easy withdrawal for all users. We honor valid Global Privacy Control signals and do not sell or share cookie-derived information for targeted advertising.
